The symptoms of depression have been much written about. They may include sleep disorders, fatigue, headache, oppression, anepithymia and loss of interest in things that used to bring joy before. Depression is often confused with other mental disorders such as neurosis. The feeling of guilt and low self-esteem underlie in the basis of any kind of depression. This distinguishes depression from all other diseases. Not all people are predisposed to depression. This disease usually affects so called depressive personality type which is formed in childhood. Various factors may influence development of such a personality type. These factors may include: some types of punishments, steep demands on the part of parents, humiliation, depressive type of a mother, one-parent family, etc. While growing up, such children only see worst aspects of life and do not expect anything good. They usually live with the feeling of everlasting sadness, guilt and inferiority complex. People with such a life start are very much at risk to develop depression since it has become a habitual form of reaction to some negative events in life. There is also situational type of depression which is based on serious psychical traumas and stress. Such a depression results in a negative perception of the world. Despite apparent complexity of the depressive condition, it could be treated if diagnosed correctly. One of the best medicines for treating depression is Wellbutrin (Bupropion).
